The importance of the student

Going to school to grow and build a responsible future

At Saint Denis School great attention is paid, first of all, to the pedagogical concept of

the child becoming an active participant

in his personal and educational growth via the development ofdifferent educational areas (cognitive, creative, emotional and social development, physical and motor and coordination skills).

The importance of family

Going to school in a changing society

The families of Saint Denis School are aware of the complexity of today’s society, both of its potential and its dangers, and work together with the teachers to find common educational objectives.

This teamwork contributes to the development of a responsible attitude in the children and a deep respect for general rules, in particular regarding the fundamental responsibilities of respecting yourself and others in the school environment.

The families who wish to share the School educational project are required to subscribe to the Joint Educational Responsibility Agreement, and agree to cooperate with the school to achieve the objectives outlined by our mission statement and our Triennial Educational Offer Plan (T.E.O.P).

The importance of the individual

Going to school to become citizens of the world in the third millenium

Considering the cultural context of the third millennium, Saint Denis School believes it is necessary that children become adults who:

respect themselves, others, nature, and the planet
cultivate a love for knowledge and learning
actively contribute to the growth of their surroundings and country

Through the adoption of the Triennial Educational Plan, the School is determined to accompany its pupils to the achievement of their educational objectives as outlined in the 2012 National Guidelines. This means:

· a healthy promotion and development of the individual, their identity, independence and sense of citizenship
· favouring basic cultural skills with the eventual aim to progressively develop key European skills
· promotinf the learning success of all pupils, with particular attention to their various specific educational needs

The Institute embraces fundamental values and dynamics through dialogue, collaboration, reciprocal respect, openness and solidarity.

The cornerstone of the Project of Education of Saint Denis School is the teaching of foreign languages, which gives a concrete opportunity for pupils to become “citizens of Europe and the world”.
