Saint Denis School is a school specialized in languages. Thanks to its unique offerings and the positive feedback we have received throughout the years, we have decided to open our doors to ex-students and students from other schools interested in attending language courses.
English language courses
These courses are all held by the school’s English Department staff.
They are offered on an annual basis (from October to May) or for a 4 month period (from October to January and from February to May).
English for fun
4-5 years old students
What better way is there to use the English language than in a fun, interesting, and playful context, where our knowledge is used in a natural and spontaneous way?
This is a 4-month long course (1 hour a week, for a total of 14 hours).
A certificate of attendance will be given to each child upon the completion of the course.

First and second year Primary school students
This course is a preparatory course aimed towards the Cambridge YLE (Young Learners English) exams, and focusse on introducing children to essential language structures and vocabulary.
Courses are run with an intuitive and stimulating approach, using concrete daily life scenarios and context as well as the interests of the students themselves to keep the children engaged.
The lesson activities include:
Story time (reading a story and using it as a jumping off point for discussion and exercises)
Practice time (listening, comprehension and speaking activities)
Culture and customs (stories, traditional rhymes, songs and films are used to stimulate the children’s interest in both the language and culture of English speaking countries.)
Arts and crafts (creating and artistic activities using English)
Computer time (using multimedia technology to learn)

This is a 4-month long course (2 hours a week, for a total of 28 hours – exact timetable to be determined).
A certificate of participation is awarded to each child at the end of the course.
Preparation for Cambridge ESOL exams
Saint Denis school is an authorized preparation centre for University of Cambridge ESOL exams. These are based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages and its qualifications are recognized by universities and work places internationally.
First level courses
Preparation for one of the Cambridge Young Learners English exams: Starters (pre A1), Movers (A1) or Flyers (A2).
These are annual courses (1.5 hours a week, for a total of 45 hours), the exact timetable of which will be determined at a later date.
Second level courses
Preparation for either the K.E.T (Key English Test) or P.E.T (Preliminary English Test) exams.
These are annual courses (2 hours a week, for a total of 52 hours), the exact timetable of which will be determined at a later date.
Third level courses
Preparation for the FIRST Exam (First Certificate in English, FCE).
This is an annual course (2 hours a week, for a total of 52 hours), the exact timetable of which will be determined at a later date.
French and Spanish language courses
These courses are in preparation for language exams (DELF – French, DELE – Spanish). The objective of these courses is to learn the essential language structures and basic vocabulary of either language.
