At Saint Denis School the individual relationship with each pupil is fundamental.
Alongside the work in the class group, great attention is paid to smaller group work focusing on specific educational needs and/or levels of learning. This is essential when some pupils may need more time to assimilate or catch up on aspects of the curriculum, while some others carry on developing other skills and strive for excellence.
Within each class the role of the main class teacher is essential; she/he presents the main core subjects of the curriculum and is responsible for the outcome in these areas. Alongside the main class teacher, specialist teachers are responsible for the learning of the pupils in subjects which require specific teaching abilities such as, for example, English, French and Computer Studies.
The priority is to ensure that a high level of quality teaching in each subject is guaranteed according to the specific skill set of each component of the teaching body. Our method can be defined as a star formation.
