Language focused Primary School
Educational Project
The Centrality of the Student
School is a place to grow and build a responsible future.
At Saint Denis School we first focus on the pedagogical aspect: the child becomes an active participant in their growth and learning processes through the development of various educational areas (cognitive, creative, socio-affective, psychomotor).
The Centrality of the Family
At School in a Changing Society
This harmony helps instill self-responsibility in children regarding rule observance in general, with particular attention to fundamental duties such as respect for oneself and the school community.
Families wishing to join the educational project of the Institute are required to sign the Educational Responsibility Pact, committing to cooperate effectively with the School in achieving the goals set by the Institutional Educational Project and the Three-Year Plan of Educational Offer.

The Centrality of Humanity
At School to Grow as Citizens of the World and the Third Millennium
In the cultural context of the third millennium, Saint Denis School believes it is necessary for children to become adults who:
- respect themselves, others, nature and the planet
- cultivate a love for knowledge
- contribute to the growth of their country in a participatory dimension
Through the Three-Year Educational Offer Plan, Saint Denis School aims to help students achieve the educational goals outlined in the National Guidelines 2012, which are:
- promoting the harmonious and integral development of the person, their identity, autonomy and citizenship
- encouraging essential cultural competencies aimed at progressively developing the European key competencies
- promoting the educational success of all students, with particular attention to their educational needs
Saint Denis School considers dialogue, collaboration, respect, availability and solidarity as the core values of relational dynamics.

How do we teach English at Saint Denis School?
English learning (13-15 hours per week) occurs through:
Teaching the language as a subject
Using the CLIL methodology
using Cambridge International syllabi and conducting Cambridge Progression Tests during the school year and the Cambridge Checkpoint at the end of the five-year period;
Preparing for prestigious Cambridge certifications
The textbooks used for English are the ones adopted in British primary schools. In addition to textbooks, children are encouraged to read numerous works of fiction in foreign languages.
English is also practiced during pre-school hours, lunch breaks, after-school care and optional supplementary courses.
French as a Third Language
Numerous optional extracurricular courses (dance, martial arts, yoga, fencing…) are also offered.
The Methodology
A Typical Day
The school day runs from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with no "empty times"!
Every moment of the day is an educational moment, whether it is a morning welcome activity, a lesson, a break, an outing, a lunch break or an optional course.
